Having the great fortune of meeting and working with Dr. Staninger this year has so many personal benefits and the latest is being able to sample her new skin care line, Baci Mi.

I have been faithfully applying a sampling of gels from her for about 4 months now.
The last time I saw my family was at Christmas time last year; then about 6 months later I visited again. It took a few days for my Dad’s wife to get up the nerve and ask me if I was getting Botox treatments. She had really noticed how much smoother and younger my skin was especially around my eyes.

I had also noticed how much nicer my skin looked just before this trip and had packed an extra jar of the Baci-Mi gel to share. Before using these products, I wasn’t much of a believer in applying topical creams for wrinkles or cellulite troubles. Boy was I wrong!

As I have reported before, Dr. Staninger has simplified the idea of what disease and aging are really all about and it just makes so much sense to me. The article I wrote, Understanding Disease… takes one of her recent papers based on several case studies from her practice and demonstrates how toxicity and nutritional depletion affect our cells, causing cell dysfunction and damage…hence we get sick and old!

In a recent conversation with Dr. Staninger, she reminded me that our skin is renewed every 3 months! This means that we are given the chance to correct our skin issues several times a year. That is remarkable. Of course this won’t happen without making the corrections with proper diet, hydration, and detoxifying the junk that is stored in our cells. It also helps me to remember that my skin is an organ, the largest as a matter of fact, and it is breathing and filtering and protecting me from the environment. The better I maintain it’s cellular integrity, the better it will function AND the better it will look.

So with that in mind, enjoy your holidays and be sure to take extra care of yourself to balance the ‘extracurricular’ activities you may be partaking in this season.

Every since meeting Dr. Staninger, my awareness on how we are bombarded with toxins from all sorts of places has been heightened to the max!

Remembering that our skin is the largest organ we have; it makes perfect sense to pay attention to what we are putting on it everyday. I started thinking about the campaigns against animal testing within the cosmetic’s industry a few years ago and I decided to hunt around for some facts about it today.

I found this really interesting resource site and wanted to share. This website has a database search function where you can drop in any name of a product you use. Sunscreens, lotions, baby products, cosmetics…all that stuff. Go check it out and see what your slathering on your skin. Wow!

One of the best, cheapest, and cleanest moisturizer type products to use is Organic Coconut Oil. It will feel oily right at first but it absorbs immediately and I can literally feel it nourishing me inside-out.

Have a great inspiring day,
