We know it is easy to read news about the possibility of our rights being restricted and dismissing it with a “oh yeah, that’s not really gonna happen or that’s not gonna be a problem for me.” – well now we are under fire on the topic of supposedly protecting copyrighted material on the internet.

We are standing on great times of change…history is truly in the making as we as individuals continue branching out with the use of the internet to create a bridge of global connections never before experienced.

With this gain of great knowledge and singularity, comes great responsibility. Don’t fool yourself that you have nothing to do with this or won’t be affected…this can become a serious infringement on our freedom of speech.

In a letter from our web hosting company comes this message and we felt it was well expressed and want to share it:

(Begin excerpt)
You may have heard about Protect-IP (PIPA) and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) currently under consideration in Congress. If passed, among other things, SOPA requires Web hosting companies like 1&1 to police websites in
order to prevent them from communicating copyrighted information on the internet.

The US government is currently reviewing SOPA and PIPA as possible ways to prevent unlawful distribution of copyrighted materials available on the internet. These current proposals, if passed, would allow for significant
interventions into the technological and economical basis of the internet.

This could put the vast benefits and economic opportunities of entirely legal and legitimate e-business models at risk. Generally, companies offering technological services should not be forced to be the executor of authority in such matters.

If they were to act upon every implication of content infringement without any judicial research into the actual usage of its customers, the integrity behind their customer’s freedom of information and speech would be enormously harmed.

1&1 Internet, Inc. has worked through associations and with related companies to ensure that these aspects are taken into account. Thus, we welcome the serious consideration by the US Congress of the potential harmful effects on Internet freedom should SOPA and / or PIPA be passed as law, and hope the stability of the Internet’s domain name system (DNS) remains intact.

We encourage every Internet user concerned about these plans to contribute to the debate and to raise their voice with their local representatives in the House or Senate. One way to express your concerns could be to use one of the websites that emerged to protect user interests in the current legislative debate, such as http://fightforthefuture.org/.

At 1&1 we support you, our customer, and an open internet. (End excerpt)

At the Fountain Of Wellness we support an open internet, open source, and especially open minds!

Pay attention my global friends, just because many call it conspiracy theory, doesn’t mean it won’t happen or be used to greatly infringe upon our ability to cooperate and connect across the globe.

This is too important, not to take action.
Contact www.fightforthefuture.org and add your voice.

Celebrate your freedom!

The following is a copy of one of those circulating emails that warrants being posted again and again.

Most of us will agree, 2011 has been another tough year for individuals and the country as a whole.

Let’s turn off the long winded political explanations of why we are in this mess; let’s silence the conspiracy theorists who love to point the finger of blame up the ladder of greed and industry and simply make a stand as self empowered individuals.

GO LOCAL and save our communities from continued economic disaster!

You know why I don’t shop at Walmart any longer? Because absolutely everything is produced in China or Taiwan, etc.
EVERYTHING. Not just some things…I know its hard to get away from this plight, but the suggestions below give some great ideas on how to take simple steps and make a difference that will lift all us out of this huge hole.

As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods — merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor.

This year will be different.

This year Americans will give the gift of genuine concern for other Americans.

There is no longer an excuse that, at gift giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands.

Yes there is!

It’s time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper?

Everyone — yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates from your local American hair salon or
barber?

Gym membership? It’s appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement.

Who wouldn’t appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a book of gift certificates.

Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plunking down the Benjamins on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course.

There are a bazillion owner-run restaurants — all offering gift certificates. And, if your intended isn’t the fancy eatery sort, what about a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint.

Remember, folks this isn’t about big National chains — this is about supporting your home town Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open.

How many people couldn’t use an oil change for their car, truck or motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy?

Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services local cleaning lady for a day. My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is struggling to get his repair business up and running.

OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery and beautiful wooden boxes.

Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at your hometown theatre.

Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.

Honestly, people, do you REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of lights, about fifty cents stays in the community. If you have those kinds of bucks to burn, leave the
mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip.

You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about US, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn’t imagine.

May this be the new American Christmas tradition!!!

Tomorrow, June 23, Carl Calleman is a guest on Coast to Coast with George Noory. Carl has written The Purposeful Universe, and The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Human Consciousness.

He has a PhD in Physical Biology and started studying and un-locking the patterns of the Mayan calendar in 1979.

I first heard him present in Scottsdale AZ, two years ago.
I liked the way he maps out the wave-time lines that correlate with how the Mayans constructed their calendar, and it is very practical, understandable and, well – cool!

On Carl’s website, he states:
“The Mayan calendar is thus a spiritual device that enables a greater understanding of the evolution of consciousness driving human history and the concrete steps we can take to align ourselves with this cosmic evolution toward Enlightenment.”

Click on Carl Calleman to get to the Coast to Coast site.

We hope he delivers his insights in the same passion and fashion as before.

Woohoo for human transformation!!!

Have a great day,

I really appreciate connecting issues I am having within my personal sphere to the larger picture of things happening in the world and beyond.

It helps me to not take it so personally, when I seem to be confronted with a series of difficulties, to scope out and discover for example…Mercury is in retrograde.

Now I don’t ‘follow’ astrology as a map the way many do, and yet it is always fascinating to me to see these ‘line-ups’ in patterns.

Here is an interview worth the time to listen, if you can relate at all to what I am saying.
This is Carol Ann Ciocco talking on BlogTalk radio with Margaret Donahue and Katina Lemay about the current trends in the Mayan calendar and astrology and how they affect our creation process.

Click here on BlogTalk Radio to link to the interview.

For me, this is all really about being able to come back to a peaceful mind, no matter what the heck is going on!

Have a great day,

This may indeed be one of those moments in history that we read about in our American History books, and as kids, even dreamt of being a part of such an incredible event!

From the activating group at Moveon.org, we received this email. Please read and pass it on!

Newly-elected Tea Party governor Scott Walker thought he could slash the Wisconsin state budget and dismantle 50 years of workers’ rights without a fight, but boy was he wrong.

Hundreds of thousands of regular Wisconsinites—teachers, firefighters, police officers, students—have taken to the streets of Madison. They’ve occupied the capitol building for the last 7 days and nights.

But this isn’t just about Wisconsin. In state capitals across the country, and in Washington, D.C., Republicans are using the wrecked economy as an excuse to slash vital programs and hurt workers. The American Dream itself is under attack.

So we’re helping lead an emergency call for rallies in every state capital this Saturday at noon to support folks in Wisconsin and oppose these attacks, wherever they occur.

Here’s the call to action:

Calling all students, teachers, union members, workers, patriots, public servants, unemployed folks, progressives, and people of conscience:

In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under fierce attack. Instead of creating jobs, Republicans are giving tax breaks to corporations and the very rich, and then cutting funding for education, police, emergency response and vital human services. The right to organize is on the chopping block. The American Dream is slipping out of reach for more and more Americans, and we have to fight back.

We call for emergency rallies in front of every statehouse this Saturday at noon to stand in solidarity with the people of Wisconsin. Demand an end to the attacks on workers’ rights and public services across the country. Demand investment, to create decent jobs for the millions of people who desperately want to work. And demand that the rich and powerful pay their fair share.

Click here on MOVEON.ORG to read more and join in the stuff we Americans have made history with for hundreds of years.

See you THERE!

David McCandless translated data information into visual charts and presented it at the Ted Conference this past July.

He says,
…”what I love, and I’m a journalist, and what I love is finding hidden patterns; I love being a data detective. And there’s a very interesting and odd pattern hidden in this data that you can only see when you visualize it.”

Let the data set, change your mind set.

By seeing the information we are bombarded with every day, we can understand and enjoy it more.

To wrap up, David says, “It feels like we have a lot of information problems in our society at the moment; from information overload and saturation to the breakdown of trust and reliability, runaway skepticism and lack of transparency, or even just interesting-ness…So visualizing information can give us a very quick solution to those kinds of problems.”

This is so fab…take a moment and see military budgets and natural catastrophes put in a perspective that is truly relatable.

Have a great day,
